Feeling hot BUT not heavy

Hello Beautiful,

  • You gotta love the benefits of Owning Healthy! You may be feeling hot this summer, it's currently 93 degrees here in Lexington, Kentucky, but the combination in this week's salad won't weigh you down! Healthy, tastey and nutrient dense...my favorite combo!
  • You may have noticed if you have followed my Saturday recipe newsletters. I’m always looking for the health benefits of what I eat and share with family and friends. Take a look at the benefits below and see how you can benefit from this Saturday Summer Salad. The mix of rich peanut sauce and the unique Thai spice will set you off on an Asian adventure!

  • Heart Health
The recipe includes ingredients like extra virgin olive oil and peanut butter, which are known to be good sources of monounsaturated fats. These fats are beneficial for heart health as they help to lower bad cholesterol levels and increase good cholesterol levels. The recipe also contains chicken breast, a lean source of protein, which is beneficial for maintaining a healthy heart.

  • Bone Health
The recipe includes ingredients like coleslaw mix and red bell pepper, which are rich in Vitamin C, a nutrient that is essential for the production of collagen, a protein that helps in the formation of bones and teeth. The recipe also contains chicken breast, a good source of phosphorus, which is necessary for the formation and maintenance of healthy bones and teeth.

  • Digestive Health
The recipe includes ingredients like coleslaw mix and cucumber, which are high in dietary fiber. Fiber is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system as it aids in regular bowel movements and helps to prevent constipation. The recipe also contains apple cider vinegar and coconut aminos, which are known to aid in digestion.

Not feeling the chicken in this one? No problem! I've cubed and sauteed tofu steaks using a recipe from Simple Sprinkle - Try it here!

Enjoy your summer with family and friends!

Wishing you health & happiness,

Mazie
